Earthquake Aftershock

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck northeastern Japan on March 16, 2022.

About one year ago, there also was a similarly strong magnitude 7.3 earthquake in northeastern Japan on February 13, 2021.

The epicenter of these earthquakes is in approximately the same area as the terribly devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck on March 11, 2011.

The earthquake this week, and the one last year on Feb. 13th, are said to be aftershocks from that mega earthquake in 2011.

These aftershocks of that tragic day eleven years ago are a reminder not to forget – and that things can change in an instant.

I hope and pray for everyone in the region. They have been through so much over the past eleven years.
