Outstanding win today by Enho, a 25 year old sumo wrestler, at the January sumo tournament in Tokyo.
At 168 cm tall and 99 kilos, Enho is small compared to other sumo wrestlers. But what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for with his dynamic and decisive moves.
In today’s match, Enho literally picked up his opponent Abi (185 cm tall, 152 kilos) by one leg and threw Abi outside the ring to win the match.
The move is called ashi-tori (足取り / “leg-grabbing”). Enho timed the move precisely to coincide with Abi’s movement then lifted and propelled Abi out of the ring for the win.
